Back pain can be easily prevented by performing a few activities with stretching being the key and by doing a few things correctly. Stretching is the best way towards keeping distance from back pain; it helps to loosen up muscles of the back thereby reducing the chances of tear. It is ideal to perform during the morning hours after waking up and at night before sleep. Most people do reap benefits of routine stretching but you should consult your physician or chiropractor before executing your plans.
The stretches performed should be smooth to avoid any jerks on the body. Bouncing should always be avoided; they may cause back injury. When starting, don’t put too much pressure, exercise till a slight stretch is experienced and slowly increase intensity as days go by. If you feel any discomfort or even pain, it means you’re stretching too much and stop immediately to avoid muscle tear and injuries. Consume fluids, preferably water to rehydrate.
